The District 84 Board of Education discussed the high school hybrid class schedule currently being followed Tuesday. Several board members said they were concerned about what students do on alternating “off” days and how to help struggling students. High school principal Shane Laffen said struggling students are invited to come to school for more instruction on their “off” days and that some of them do so. Superintendent John Cselovszki said he would bring the issue back to the December board meeting. Cselovszki said he is concerned about community COVID-19 spread as Brown County case numbers are rising fast lately. Cselovszki said the State of Minnesota is requiring the school to add 30 minutes of preparation time each day for teachers.
