If this recipe is not already a regular at your house, it will become one.

It is so good and so comforting.


1 lb ground beef

10.5 oz cream of chicken soup

10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup

1 onion diced

1 cup celery chopped

8 oz water chestnuts drained

1 can chop suey vegetables, drained

1 cup rice uncooked

1 ½ cup water

3 tbs soy sauce

5 oz chow mein noodles


Cook 1 lb of ground beef. Drain any excess grease. In a mixing bowl, mix ground beef, cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, onion, celery, water chestnuts, chop suey vegetables, uncooked rice, water, and soy sauce. Add mixture to a greased 9×13 baking dish. Cover with tinfoil and bake at 350 for 1 ½ hours. Remove from oven and remove tinfoil. Top with Chow Mein noodles and bake uncovered an additional 10 minutes.
