The New Ulm Medical Center recently had a record donation of Chemo Care bags. 121 bags were donated to oncology patients. The donation event is coordinated by Heidi Hagberg, a medical center employee and Thirty-One Gifts Director. Hagberg has been doing the Chemo Care bag event for five years. Each bag is filled with an assortment of items such as full size hand lotions, lemon drops, playing cards, Kleenex, socks, pill containers, crossword/word find books, stress balls, inspirational note stands, chapstick and more. The New Ulm Chapter of Mothers of Preschoolers has partnered with Hagberg to help fill the bags and also helps contact the business donations.
