The New Ulm District 88 School Board approved a COVID-19 face-covering policy before the start of the new school year. he purpose of this policy is to establish requirements for employees, students and other visitors on school property to wear face coverings in classrooms, preschool, child care settings and other indoor areas, and in outdoor areas where a physical distance of 6 feet cannot be maintained between persons, to minimize exposure to COVID. The policy is intended to comply with Gov. Tom Walz’ executive order and the requirements from the Minnesota Depart of Health and the Minnesota Department of Education. Unless an exception applies, all students, staff, and visitors present indoors are required to wear a face covering.
