State health officials are warning citizens about new COVID-19-related scams making the rounds…In the last few days, for example, The Minnesota Department of Health received reports of a fake letter or bulletin, made to look as if it was issued by the CDC containing disturbing guidance about the use of masks. Kris Ehresmann with the Minnesota Health Department says the letters downplay the importance of wearing masks and aim to scare and confuse people. Anyone who receives these fake messages is urged to report it to the state Health Department.
