Sleepy Eye Medical Center was among 360 provider organizations across the state recently awarded emergency health care grants to prepare for and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sleepy Eye Medical Center was awarded $287,059 and Oak Terrace Senior Housing of Gaylord $25,654 from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) that awarded $97.6 million in emergency grants. Renville County Hospital and Clinics received $216,488. About half of the $97.6 million in funds awarded went to providers for additional staffing costs, clinical services, training, outreach, management, coordination, response, screening and for personal protective equipment.
