The District 84 Board of Education unanimously approved the school district’s 2020-2021 budget Wednesday. Finance Director Amanda Boomgarden reported Fiscal Year 2021 budget revenues are $7.7 million dollars, 1% ($79,974) less than the almost $7.8 in adapted Fiscal Year 2020 revenue. Boomgarden said the decrease was due to less average daily membership (ADM). Fiscal Year 2021 budget expenditures are $7.8 million dollars, $81,247 (1.1%) greater than $7.7 million dollars in Fiscal Year 2020 expenditures. Cselovszki said the good news is the district has a $1.8 million dollar fund balance. Superintendent John Cselovszki also said it was important for eligible families to apply for free and reduced-price school meals.
