Beginning Monday, May 11, the New Ulm Public Library will offer contactless pickup of library materials 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday. Please contact the library (507-359-8331) at least two hours in advance to set up a time to pick up your items. When you are ready to pick up your holds, call the library before you leave your home so staff can have your library materials ready. Staff will pull your items, check them out, and put them in a plastic bag on a table outside of the southwest parking lot doors. Your bag will be labeled with your first name and the last 4 digits of your library card number. The outdoor book drop is open on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Please do not put returns on the contactless pick up table. This is essential to maintain safe handling of all materials. You may also keep items until the library reopens. The library building will remain closed to the public indefinitely. Library staff is working with city and state officials to make plans to reopen the library when it is safe to do so.
