The Brown County Sheriff’s Office says a major catastrophe was avoided after a train collided with a semi pulling a full propane tanker on County Road 7 and Center Street near Cobden Wednesday afternoon.  The sheriff’s office was called out a little after 12:30 pm after the train collided with the semi that driven by James Schroeder of Fairfax.  No one was hurt but there was a leak of propane which crews worked into the evening to clean up.  Some residents lost power while the spill was cleaned up.  Power was restored around 7:30 pm.  Authorities were still warning people to stay away from the area as County Road 7 remained closed.  The Sheriff’s office says Schroeder will be cited for traffic violations.  Many agencies assisted with the incident including the state patrol, Sleepy Eye Fire and Ambulance, the Mankato Fire Department Chemical Assessment team and Canadian Pacific railroad
