860 AM KNUJ/97.3 FM/SAM 107.3 and your New Ulm Hy-Vee announce this month’s Hometown Hero:  Brian Miller of New Ulm. In late January, Brian was on South Valley Street when he noticed smoke coming from behind a home. He realized there was a fire and called 911. He went up to the house and was able to assist two women from the home and move them to safety at neighbor’s house. As a retired firefighter, he continues to make the safety of  our residents and community a priority.  Congratulations to Brian Miller. He will receive a Hy-Vee gift card and be honored at a luncheon this fall.

860 AM KNUJ/97.3 FM/SAM 107.3 and Hy-Vee wish to acknowledge those in your community, neighborhood or organization that give the most precious gift – time to worthwhile causes while helping those less fortunate or rescuing efforts in an emergency situation.  We welcome nominations from a 10-county area.           Get information at the service counter of your New Ulm Hy-Vee, knuj.net  or at the KNUJ/SAM 107.3 studios in New Ulm and Sleepy Eye. Help us share the     stories of Hometown Heroes throughout the KNUJ/SAM 107.3 listening area.
