One of the two Hutchinson juveniles taken into custody in connection with the fire at the Hutchinson Walmart Sunday has been formally charged with two felony counts of first-degree arson. Police say the first count is related to the building fire, the second related to using a combustible/flammable material. Charges are still possible against the other 13-year-old suspect. Hutchinson Police an accelerant was used to start the fire in the men’s clothing department. Damage estimates by the State Fire Marshal are between one and two-million dollars, mostly caused from smoke and water. Walmart officials say the store will remain closed until further notice.
