12 jalapenos

6 oz. Cream Cheese softened

3 oz. shredded Monterey Jack Cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Kosher salt

Fresh ground black pepper

24 little smokies

12 strips bacon, sliced in half crosswise


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl combine the cream cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, and garlic powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Halve jalapenos lengthwise, then use a spoon to remove seeds. Fill each half with about 2 teaspoons cheese mixture, place a little smokie, in the middle and wrap with a halved slice of bacon. Place on a baking sheet and repeat with remaining peppers, filling, and little smokies.

Bacon until bacon is crispy and peppers are tender about 25 minutes.
