DNR Naturalist Scott Kudelka will present “Spiders: Friend or Foe?” next Tuesday, January 7 at 6:30 p.m. at New Ulm Public Library. Many people find spiders scary or creepy, but they play an important role in the environment – mainly to prevent the world from becoming overcrowded with insects. There are many different types of spiders and surprisingly not all make webs to catch their prey. Kudelka will talk about some of the different spiders found in Minnesota and their characteristics. This free program is geared toward adults, but all ages are welcome.
