A Janesville woman led law enforcement on a high speed chase on Friday morning. The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office was called to the south side of Madison Lake around 11:43 a.m. for the report that a female was getting in and out of a black SUV parked on the side of the road and had fallen down. Eagle Lake Police responded to assist and attempted a traffic stop but the driver, 50-year-old Alyssa Hoeppner, failed to stop. A vehicle pursuit began with speeds around 70 miles-per-hour. The pursuit ended about two miles into Le Sueur County. Hoeppner was taken into custody on charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle and driving while impaired.
