There will be several Veterans Day programs happening in the area on Monday. The Winthrop Honor Guard in conjunction with GFW High School will be having a program at 10:15 at the GFW Senior High School Gymnasium, the public is invited and asked to enter the school through the doors on the southeast side of the school. The Lamberton American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary will present a program at Red Rock Central at 10:15. Springfield Public School will have a program at 10a.m. in the High School Gymnasium. St. Raphael School will host a program at 11a.m. And New Ulm Public High School will host a program beginning at 10a.m. in the gymnasium, this will be broadcast on KNUJ.

There are several programs and activities happening on Monday in Sleepy Eye to honor Veterans Day. Marine Veteran Rick Mages said there will be a Veterans Dinner at the Sleepy Eye Serviceman’s Club from 6-8p.m. Guest speakers include Beth Zuhlsdorf, Randy Reinharts, and Jeff Larson. The dinner is open to the public; there is a $7 admission for non-veterans, Veterans and their spouses have free admisison. Also on Monday, the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard will be presenting a program at Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s High School at 9:00 and at Sleepy Eye High School at 10:25. The Serviceman’s Club will also have a free will offering Mulligan Stew meal from 11 to 1.
