Hot Roast Beef Sandwiches
3-4 lb. bottom round beef roast
salt and pepper
2 Packets brown gravy mix
1.5 cups water
white or sourdough bread
Place the roast into a 4-quart or larger slow cooker. Season roast with salt, pepper and onion powder. In a small bowl whisk together the gravy packets and water until smooth. Pour that mixture over the roast. Cover and cook on LOW for 8-10 hours. Remove the roast and shred meat, discard any fat.
De-grease the gravy by ladling off the grease with a spoon, or take a paper towel and lay on top of the grease and pull off. Serve the shredded beef and gravy over bread and with mashed potatoes.
