A warrant is being requested for a Vernon Center man who fled the state after being accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl. In May, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office received reports that 41-year-old Ronald Robello Jr. had sexually assaulted the girl. The girl told police that Robello had molested her on their family farm while he was living there; she said he told her that if she told anyone he would hurt her family. While being questioned by police, Robello admitted to playing and tickling the girl but denied the contact was sexual. After questioning, he fled the state and is reported to have gone to California. He is facing four criminal sexual conduct charges.
