Another teen was sentenced Tuesday in Fairbault County District Court on an assault that took place in October 2017 in Winnebago. 19-year-old Wyatt Tungland was convicted of felony assault. Two other charges were dismissed in a plea deal reached in April. Tungland and three other teens were accused of holding down and assaulting a teammate during a house party. The 16-year-old victim suffered a serious concussion during the assault. Tungland must complete 40 hours of community service, attend an anger management program and spend 5 years on probation. He must also pay $1,000 in restitution to the victim’s family. 19-year-old Dalten Nagel of Frost received the same sentence as Tungland. Blake Barnett received community service and probation but no jail time. He was 17 when he was charged in juvenile court.
