Seasonal flu activity continues to slow in the state. Over the latest reporting week, there were 62 flu-related hospitalizations. This compares to 140 the week before. There were nine school outbreaks and none in the state’s nursing homes. If things continue to slow it looks like this year will have been a mild year compared to last year where we saw nearly 6,500 hospitalizations. So far this season around 2,350 patients needed to be admitted and there was one pediatric flu death.
