The Brown County Board of Commissioners will consider the request for an additional Child Protection Worker at Tuesday’s meeting. The request said the new worker is needed because out of Home Placements have gone from an average of 30 children in placement over a period of 20 years to in the last year being 40 children in placement at any given time, because the amount of comp time being put in by the four workers is close to maxed out for each one, and because workers are always on call, to a degree. This issue was tabled by the Commissioners last month as they decided to create a committee to look further into the issues and make a recommendation to the Board.
