St. Patrick's Day

Even though New Ulm has a higher percentage of German ancestry than any other city in the US—on St. Patrick’s Day, we’re all Irish! New Ulm’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the oldest consecutive St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Minnesota, beating St. Paul’s by just one year. This year’s Grand Marshal Terry Dempsey said all are welcome to join.
The parade begins at 5 o’clock on Sunday and participants can line up between 3rd and 4th South Minnesota. The route will travel down to the Glockenspiel. To add a bit of mystery this year, there will be two masked leprechauns that won’t be revealed until after the parade!
