A Mankato man is facing multiple burglary charges following a burglary in Lake Crystal. On January 26th, the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office received a call that a suspected burglary had taken place at Key City Auto Parts on Highway 60 near Lake Crystal. A check of inventory revealed that 25 catalytic converters had been stolen, valuing about $2,000. A few days later, employees at a shop in Blaine recognized the stolen parts, collected the IDs of 32-year-old Derek Ites and 41-year-old Jeramie Ites of Mankato. A search warrant was executed at the Ites residence and burglary tools, along with blank checks for Key City Auto, and shoes matching footprints to the crime scene were found in Jeramie’s bedroom. Jeramie has been charged with felony burglary and receiving stolen property.
