Police-lights

Duluth police say a domestic situation led to a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a man and a police K-9. An officer was also shot and wounded during the Sunday incident. Authorities say officers responded to a call about a domestic assault with a weapon at a home on Skyline Parkway. A man who was hunkered down in a residence for about an hour then started firing at an officer, wounding him, and killed his K-9 partner, Haas. Police returned fire and later entered the residence and found the suspect dead. The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
