Three women are facing theft charges after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of items from a Mankato business. Police were called to a Mankato business on Saturday night for the report of an in-progress shoplifting attempt. They were notified of three women, later identified as 28-year-old Leah Jones, 18-year-old Talea Williams-Jones, and 26-year-old Briana Jefferson, were loading up a shopping cart with items and sneaking them out the business’s fire door by their pharmacy to a vehicle parked near storage containers in the parking lot. Items stolen included hover boards, TVs, video games and consoles, baby clothes, and other electronics. Police were able to make the arrest without incident. The items stolen valued around $3,000.
