A Minnesota legislator says he wants to toughen penalties for distracted drivers involved in deadly or serious accidents.  State Senator David Osmek announced yesterday that he wants drivers who cause injury or death in crashes where distracted driving is involved to face jail time and pay fines similar to those imposed on drunk drivers.  Distracted driving is the fourth-leading cause of serious injuries or death in crashes.
