Two men are facing multiple drug charges after trying to exchange marijuana for $10 worth of fuel. 22-year-old Gak Chamdak of Fairmont and 19-year-old Paul Jal of Mankato called for a tow truck to bring them fuel on Tuesday afternoon at the Cherry Street Ramp. The tow truck operator provided them with $10 worth of fuel but stopped when he learned the two had no way to pay for it. Chamdak then offered $20 worth of marijuana as payment. The operator called Mankato police and blocked the car from leaving until police arrived. The Ramp is located near a park, which resulted in additional charges of selling drugs in a park zone.
