The Highways 19 and 71 project in Redwood Falls is nearly complete. Traffic cones and barriers will be removed soon and crews will finish cleanup tasks under normal traffic conditions. Due to cold temperatures, temporary striping and pavement markings will remain in place until next spring when permanent pavement markings can be completed, along with erosion control. Boulevards near North Swain Street, which are currently filled with gravel, will be filled with concrete when warmer weather arrives next spring. Benefits of the project include improved drainage, enhanced safety at intersections, and improved ramps, sidewalks and driveways for people with disabilities. The project cost $3.6 million.
