Two Mankato men were charged on Monday after a fight broke out in an apartment in Mankato on Friday night. Officers with the Mankato Department of Public Safety were called to the apartment for the report that two men were carrying a distressed female to a car. When officers arrived they observed that the men were covered in blood and the woman was intoxicated and having difficulty breathing. The officers entered the apartment and learned that 20-year-old Remy Peterson and 25-year-old Alec Peterson-Hillyer had been getting physical with each other and had to be separated multiple times. Peterson left the apartment and was told not to return, but he later broke into the house and threatened to kill witnesses with a kitchen knife, even stabbing the couch where they were sitting. The men left the residence when witnesses threatened to call police, both are facing multiple charges.
