The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development recently approved grants totaling more than $1.51 million in funding for three businesses in Greater Minnesota and three in the Metro area. One business awarded funding from the Minnesota Job Creation Fund was Windings in New Ulm. Windings plans to purchase a 60,000-square-foot facility in New Ulm. Then they will renovate and add an additional 10,000 square feet to the building. The total project will cost $7.9 million and Windings expects to create 20 jobs within the next three years with an average wage of $21.60 per hour.
