LETTUCE

The Center for Disease Control, public health and regulatory officials in several states, Canada, and the FDA are investigating a multistate outbreak of a toxin-producing an E. coli infection. As of Tuesday (today), 32 people have been infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli in 11 states. No cases have been reported in Minnesota. 13 people have been hospitalized and no deaths have been reported. The CDC is advising consumers not to eat any romaine lettuce until they can learn more about the outbreak.
