A teenager from Lewisville is facing 4 assault charges after attacking staff and police officers at the Brown County Evaluation Center. New Ulm Police Officers were dispatched to the center on Wednesday night to assist with an aggressive male. When they arrived, they tried to assist staff in restraining 19-year-old Mason Maloney. There was a struggle, but authorities were able to handcuff Maloney and transport Maloney to an isolation room where he was placed on a mattress where he kicked an officer. After speaking with staff, police were informed that Maloney had voluntarily admitted himself after using acid and before they arrived he hit a staff member twice, bit a patient, and put another patient in a chokehold. Maloney was charged in Brown County Court on Thursday.
