A Winsted man is facing 5 felony charges after sexually communicating with someone he believed was a 15-year-old girl. The Glencoe Police Department was notified on October 23rd by a nonprofit organization called the Worldwide Predator Hunters that 27-year-old David Venske had been sexually communicating with a fake profile they created on a dating website for a 15-year-old Glencoe girl. According to court documents, the messages were being exchanged for two weeks. They said that Venske was aware of the girl’s age and had sent her a nude photo. The two planned on meeting up at a gas station, when the police intercepted and Venske was placed under arrest. He told police that he intended to engage in sexual activity with the female. Venske has been charged in McLeod County Court with Attempted 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct and Solicitation of Children to Engage in Sexual Conduct.
