The Brown County Underage Substance Abuse Coalition will be hosting two events on Tuesday to discuss drugs and alcohol in our community. The workshops are led by Officer Jermaine Galloway an expert in drug and alcohol trends, otherwise known as “Tall Cop.” USAC member Corporal Keith Anderson said Galloway will shop the Brown County Area and surrounding areas to pick things out that are related or have a drug culture attached to them.
The first workshop is intended for law enforcement, probation officers, school administration, treatment providers, and counselors, but it is also open to the public except for youths. This will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will cover how substances are often hiding in plain sight. The second workshop will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and is intended for local community members, parents, and guardians and will cover what substances are popular among youth. Both workshops are free to attend and will be held at the Sleepy Eye Event Center.
