Police-lights

A Lake Crystal man was caught with drugs and a loaded gun during a traffic stop on Tuesday night. A Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Deputy was patrolling when pulled over a vehicle that was going 83-miles-per-hour in a 65-miles-per-hour zone. During the stop, the deputy noticed an uncased shotgun in the backseat, which he later learned was loaded. While searching 42-year-old Scott Larsen and his vehicle, the Deputy discovered about 2 ounces of marijuana and 20 grams of methamphetamine. One-thousand dollars in cash was also found hidden in Larsen’s wallet, which leads authorities to believe that Larsen is involved in selling drugs. Larsen was charged on Wednesday in Blue Earth County Court with 4 drug-related charges, possession of a firearm and ammo, and DWI.
