The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency has issued fines to area companies for various violations. Scott Equipment of Arlington which makes processing and industrial equipment for the agriculture and industrial markets was cited $30,000 for hazardous waste and industrial stormwater violations. That penalty was the second largest of all the penalties issued this quarter. Other fines include $8200 for feedlot violations at Wakefield Pork in Amboy, $10,725 to Association Finishing, Inc in Mankato for hazardous waste violations. In all, the MPCA issued penalties just over $366,000 for 52 enforcement cases in 32 counties.
