The Redwood County Board is getting closer to making a final decision on the future of the current courthouse building. According to the Redwood Gazette, the council decided to cut back the project from 24,000 square feet to 13,900 square feet by moving some of the programs currently housed in the courthouse to a different location. Some of these programs include the child advocacy center, the restorative justice program and the maintenance office, as well as the designated IT space. This move would reduce the cost to less than $ 6 million.
